How to make a game like Jujutsu Shenanigans on Roblox
Jujutsu Shenanigans is a battlegrounds game: drop into a server of up to about 20 people and start fighting. There's no story to sit through and nothing to grind first. All of it rests on how good it feels to land a combo, so that's where your time should go.
Why it works
Players drop into a shared map, pick a moveset, and fight whoever's nearby with combos, dashes and special moves.
- Fighting within seconds. No queue and no levels to reach first. Players are in the action right away.
- Easy to start, hard to master. One button makes a combo, but dashes and blocks are what win fights.
- Every moveset is a new game. A new character feels like something new to learn, and players love trying them.
1Start on a map
City streets and school grounds with room to dash and things to get knocked through. Forja's anime and Japanese maps fit this kind of game. A finished map means your first weeks go into the game itself. Open it in Roblox Studio with File, then Open from File. Here's how, and there are free maps too.

2Build it in this order
Each step is something you can play. Stop when it's fun, and let people try it before you build the next one.
- 1The basic combo. Four hits on one button, and the last knocks them back. Do the hit checks on the server, and spend your time on how it feels: the pause on a hit, the sound and the camera.
- 2Dash and block. A dash on a cooldown, and a block that a heavy hit breaks. Now there's a choice to make in a fight.
- 3One moveset. Four abilities on cooldowns, all with one idea behind them. Balance one before you make a second.
- 4A big finish. A meter that fills as you fight and unlocks one huge move. It gives every fight something to build toward.
- 5More movesets. One at a time. Each new one is a reason for everyone to come back.
- 6Kills and a leaderboard. Simple numbers to show who's on top in the server.
3Get the scripts
These are free to copy and paste, each with where it goes:
- Roblox leaderboard scriptKills beside each player's name.
- Roblox sprint scriptA starting point for movement. Shift to run.
- Roblox double jump scriptFights feel better in the air.
- Roblox admin commands scriptReset and test moves while you're balancing them.
For what's particular to this game, ask the script generator. Press one of these to start from it:
- A melee combo on the left mouse button: 4 hits in a row where the last knocks the target back, with hits checked on the server
- A dash on Q that moves the player quickly in the direction they're moving, with a 3 second cooldown
- A meter that fills when a player deals damage, and when it's full, pressing G makes them stronger for 20 seconds
4Make it yours
- Invent your own characters. Anime names and characters belong to their owners, and a fan game can be taken down. Your own also means you never run out of ideas to borrow from.
- Change how a fight works: teams, ring-outs, or a map that falls apart as it goes.
- Pick one thing that feels better than everywhere else. In this kind of game, the feel of a hit is what people talk about.
Don't copy it
Jujutsu Shenanigans's name, art, music and code belong to its makers, and copying them can get your game taken down. Leaked copies and free kits are also a common place to hide backdoors, so check anything you pick up with the free backdoor scanner.
5Earn from it
Battlegrounds games tend to sell looks, like skins and emotes. Selling power is a quick way to lose players here, because they notice in the first fight. You keep 70% of the Robux spent in your game.
The free game pass and developer product scripts get you started, and the tax calculator works out what to charge.
6Test it and publish
Try it with friends before anyone else. Then it's File, then Publish, and an age check to release it: here's how publishing works now. For the basics of this kind of game, read how to make a Roblox fighting game.
Once it's out, show it on Forja so people can find it and play it.
Questions
Can I copy Jujutsu Shenanigans?
Make your own game in the same style, not a copy. Nobody owns a kind of game, generally, but Jujutsu Shenanigans's name, art, music and code belong to its makers, and they can have a copy taken down. Your own names and art are safer, and they give players a reason to pick yours.
Is there a free Jujutsu Shenanigans kit?
Be careful with free kits and leaked copies. They're a common place to hide backdoors, which can give a stranger control of your game. Run anything like that through Forja's free backdoor scanner before you open it, or build from free scripts you can read.
What makes a hit feel good?
A tiny pause when it lands, a sound with some weight, a small camera shake and the target reacting. None of these takes much code, and together they're most of what makes a fighting game fun.
