Free tool
Roblox file viewer
Open a .rbxm or .rbxl file without Studio: see everything in it like the Explorer, and read every script. Free, and your file never leaves your computer.
Your file stays on your computer: it opens in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
What you can do with it
Browse it like the Explorer
Every service, model, part and folder in the file, in Studio's order. Search by name or class.
Read every script
Scripts, LocalScripts and ModuleScripts with their code in colour. Copy one, or download them all as .lua files in a .zip.
See what's hidden
Each script goes through Forja's backdoor check, and it points out what makes a model heavy: copied scripts, loose parts, huge counts.
Anywhere
On a phone, a Chromebook or a school computer: no Studio, no install, no account.
It reads the file the way Studio does, in your browser: nothing is uploaded.
Questions
How do I open an .rbxm file without Roblox Studio?
Drop it on the viewer above. It opens in your browser like Studio's Explorer: every model, part and script in the file, and the code of each script. It works for places (.rbxl) and their text versions (.rbxmx, .rbxlx) too.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The viewer reads the file on your computer, in your browser, the way Forja's backdoor scanner does. Nothing is sent to Forja or anyone else.
Can I edit the file or save it?
No, it's for looking: to change a model or a place, open it in Roblox Studio. You can copy a script's code or download it as a .lua file.
Does it show the model in 3D?
This page shows the tree of everything in it and every script's code. To fly around it, open it in Forja's 3D viewer (the See it in 3D button): parts and terrain are drawn from the file, and meshes show as blocks, since their shapes live on Roblox's servers.
Does it work on a phone or a Chromebook?
Yes, in any up-to-date browser. Files up to 200 MB.
Does it check for backdoors?
Yes. Every script goes through the same check as Forja's backdoor scanner, and scripts with a sign are marked in red, with the line.
Can I get the scripts out of an .rbxm or .rbxl?
Yes. Download all scripts gives you a .zip with every script as a .lua file, in the same folders as in the file (Scripts end in .server.lua and LocalScripts in .client.lua, the way Rojo names them), plus the whole tree as a text file.
Does it show what makes a game lag?
It points out what often does: the same script copied into many places, parts that aren't anchored, and very large numbers of parts, lights, effects or scripts. It can't run the game, so it can't measure frame rates.
