How to make a game like Blox Fruits on Roblox
Blox Fruits is a long adventure about getting stronger. You pick how you want to fight, level up on quests, sail to new islands and hunt for powers that change how you play. It's a big game, so the trick is building it in the right order, and starting small enough to finish.
Why it works
Players fight enemies on quests to level up, sail to new islands, and look for rare powers to become the strongest.
- You can see yourself grow. Levels and stats go up all the time, and the next island is always a bit too hard.
- Rare powers to find. A fruit changes how you fight, so finding one is exciting, and trading one is worth it.
- More than one way to play. Swords, fruit, fists or guns: players build a character that feels like theirs.
1Start on a map
Islands, ports and ships. Each island needs its own look, so players can feel they've gone somewhere new. Forja's pirate and island maps are a good start. A finished map means your first weeks go into the game itself. Open it in Roblox Studio with File, then Open from File. Here's how, and there are free maps too.

2Build it in this order
Each step is something you can play. Stop when it's fun, and let people try it before you build the next one.
- 1Combat. One attack that feels good to land, checked on the server. Everything else depends on this being fun.
- 2Enemies and quests. "Beat 5 of these" pays money and experience. One island's worth is enough to start.
- 3Levels and saving. Levels make you stronger and let you into harder places. Save them from the first day.
- 4Powers to find. Start with two or three, each changing how you fight. They spawn rarely, so finding one matters.
- 5Islands and boats. A second island, stronger than the first, and a boat to get there. This is the moment it starts feeling big.
- 6Bosses and fights between players. Rare rewards from bosses, and somewhere for strong players to test themselves.
3Get the scripts
These are free to copy and paste, each with where it goes:
- Roblox tool giver scriptA sword to pick up. Use it for any weapon.
- Roblox NPC dialogue scriptThe people who give out quests.
- Roblox save data scriptKeep their level and money for next time.
- Roblox teleport scriptA quick way between islands until the boats work.
For what's particular to this game, ask the script generator. Press one of these to start from it:
- A quest giver who asks the player to beat 5 bandits, counts them, and pays coins and experience when it's done
- A level system where experience fills a bar, each level needs more than the last, and each level adds to the player's damage
- A rare item that appears at a random spot on the map every 30 minutes, and gives whoever picks it up a new attack
4Make it yours
- Build your own world and story. Fan games are common on Roblox, but anime names and characters belong to their owners, who can ask for them to be taken down. A world of your own is safer and easier to grow.
- Change the powers. Weather, spirits or machines give players the same thrill with something new to discover.
- Start with three islands you can finish. A short adventure that's good beats a huge one that's empty.
Don't copy it
Blox Fruits's name, art, music and code belong to its makers, and copying them can get your game taken down. Leaked copies and free kits are also a common place to hide backdoors, so check anything you pick up with the free backdoor scanner.
5Earn from it
Rare powers and faster levels are what players pay for in this kind of game. A pass for double experience is a simple start, and it doesn't take anything from other players. You keep 70% of the Robux spent in your game.
The free game pass and developer product scripts get you started, and the tax calculator works out what to charge.
6Test it and publish
Try it with friends before anyone else. Then it's File, then Publish, and an age check to release it: here's how publishing works now. For the basics of this kind of game, read how to make a Roblox adventure game.
Once it's out, show it on Forja so people can find it and play it.
Questions
Can I copy Blox Fruits?
Make your own game in the same style, not a copy. Nobody owns a kind of game, generally, but Blox Fruits's name, art, music and code belong to its makers, and they can have a copy taken down. Your own names and art are safer, and they give players a reason to pick yours.
Is there a free Blox Fruits kit?
Be careful with free kits and leaked copies. They're a common place to hide backdoors, which can give a stranger control of your game. Run anything like that through Forja's free backdoor scanner before you open it, or build from free scripts you can read.
Is this too big for one person?
All of it is, at first. One island with three quests, one boss and one power is a real game you can finish, and it's how you find out whether people want more. Then you add an island at a time.
