Roblox jump pad script

A pad that throws a player into the air, in whichever direction it faces: a trampoline, a launcher across a gap, a way up to a high platform.

Where it goes

1In Roblox Studio, add a flat Part and turn on Anchored. Tilt it to launch players at an angle.
2Hover over the Part in the Explorer, press + and choose Script.
3Delete what's in the new Script, paste this in, and press Play to try it.

How it works

LinearVelocity pushes the character for a moment. A player's device runs their character's physics, so this works where setting the speed from the server often doesn't.
pad.CFrame.UpVector is the way the pad's top faces, so tilting the pad aims the launch.
launched stops one jump from firing many times while the player stands on it.
